Being someone’s fitness coach comes with a lot of responsibility.

People come with plenty fears, self-doubt, and skepticism. But, even with all the challenges, there’s one thing that every person looking for a fitness coach also brings – hope, however small.

And, it’s the job of a fitness coach to take that hope, help you magnify it and translate it into a healthier, more confident you.

“I’m very sensitive to people’s situations,” said Coco-Chanel Jones, fitness coach and owner of Mademoiselle Chanel Fitness. “But, I won’t let your situation hinder you.”

She meets people where they are, never taking for granted that they are trusting her with their mind and body. So, she’s honest – no fluff because that does no one any favors.

Getting results is largely straightforward, she says. If you want to make a change with your fitness and health, you’re going to have to put in the work. Early mornings, diet changes: You just do what you have to.

“If you want it, you really want it, you can sacrifice,” she says bluntly.

Some clients struggle to believe they can reach their goal. They’re busy comparing their progress to someone else’s life. Making those comparisons steals your joy, she said.

“Those are the types of people I love making believers,” she added.

Besides keeping her clients focused on their personal goals, she also provides surprise incentives based on things she’s learned her clients like. She believes creating a fun, inviting space boosts trust and opens room for greater fitness progress.

Although Jones decided to go the entrepreneurial route by investing in herself and her dreams, her favorite part is seeing it come to life in a way that invests in others.

“I’m doing God’s work, and I’m seeing that it’s impacting people,” she said. “This is not for me. Everything I do is purposeful, and I give God all the glory.”
